Thermal Insulation Heat Shield - Starter Kit - 19.5 x 19.5 in

High-Quality integral thermal protection for vehicles or industrial applications

Our Starter Kit comes with 1 stainless steel sheet and 1 ceramic fiber mat in 19.5 x 19.5 in (50x50cm)

Now including the new Ceramic Fiber Mat

The Stainless Steel sheet:
Note: Some competitors offer this sheet as an "Inconel" heat shield with a low price to mislead customers with incorrect material designations, implying a higher-grade product. These types of sheets for this price are always made from 1.4828 stainless steel. (US standard : AISI/SAE 309)

The BOOST Products thermal insulation sheet offers an effective solution for reducing heat radiation and protecting sensitive components from thermal stress. Designed for use in demanding applications such as exhaust systems, it enhances efficiency and safety. For 100% thermal insulation, we also provide matching fiber mats. These mats can be wrapped around materials like manifold pipes or exhaust housings and then welded together with the heat shield.

Features:

  • Heat resistance up to over 1000 C (1800 F)
  • Protection against thermal damage and material fatigue
  • Versatile applications in vehicles or industrial settings
  • High-quality construction for durability
  • Manufactured in the EU
Choose quality and functionality with the BOOST Products thermal insulation heat shield sheet - the ideal choice for reliable heat protection!
  • Material: 1.4828 stainless steel (AISI/SAE 309)
  • Dimensions: 500 x 500 x 0.1mm (1.5x1.5 ft - 0.004" thinn)

The Insulation Ceramic Fiber Mat:

Choose the best solution when it comes to reliable thermal insulation! Our fiber mats, in combination with BOOST products thermal insulation heat shields, offer an excellent alternative to conventional heat protection products. By combining the fiber mat with the BOOST products 309 stainless steel thermal insulation sheet, you achieve a powerful insulation that protects your components from extreme temperatures while also extending their lifespan.

The application is simple: Wrap the fiber mat around the component, such as the exhaust manifold pipe, place the thermal insulation heat shield around the pipe, and then weld it together.

The fiber mats ensuring stable installation and durability. The back is equipped with a self-adhesive film, allowing for easy and quick installation directly onto the component after cutting. This saves valuable time during installation and ensures precise application.
BOOST products fiber mats offer significant temperature reduction. The exact effect depends on the entry temperature and the duration of temperature peaks. Additionally, air circulation or ventilation of the assembly plays a crucial role. For a customized solution, we recommend conducting specific temperature tests based on the application.

Take advantage of the benefits of our thermal insulation: it protects against heat damage, improves efficiency, and contributes to the long-term stability of your vehicle components. Trust in the quality and innovation of BOOST products.

Before you order: fitment and what to plan

The alternator charges the battery and powers the car while it runs; the starter turns the engine over.

Fitment notes

  • Specs, lead time and warranty come from the manufacturer and supplier and can change. The details above this guide are the latest we have.

Not sure it fits? Message us your vehicle details and we'll double-check fitment before you buy.

Ask about fitment

Plan the whole job

  • Battery. A weak battery is hard on a new alternator.
  • Drive belt. A slipping belt mimics a bad alternator.
