Fitment

What it does

A dirty filter restricts airflow, which can hurt fuel economy and make the A/C or heater weaker. Clean filters protect the engine, fuel system or cabin from dirt; most are replaced on a schedule in your owner's manual.

Installation & tips

• Check the filter at every oil change and replace it when it is visibly dirty.
• Oil filter: Often changed at the same service.
• Work on a cool engine with the vehicle secured, and use a service manual for your vehicle for torque specs and procedures.
