What it does

Engine and transmission mounts hold the drivetrain in place and soak up vibration. Using the correct part for your exact engine keeps oil pressure, sealing and timing where the engine was designed to run, and doing related parts at the same time saves taking it apart twice.

Installation & tips

  • Support the engine from below before removing a mount, and tighten the bolts with the weight on the mounts.
  • Transmission mount: Often worn at the same time as engine mounts.
  • Work on a cool engine with the vehicle secured, and use a service manual for your vehicle for torque specs and procedures.

FAQ

Can I install it myself?
Many owners do this job at home with basic tools and a service manual for their vehicle. If you are not sure, have it fitted by a qualified mechanic.
