It is common practice in engine building to plug the oil drain holes in a small block Chevrolet engine with a standpipe. Usually these are made of pipe and threaded in the holes. COMP Cams offers a custom extruded aluminum version with an internal hex for installation. It is simple, inexpensive and much easier to use.
These standpipes help maintain a healthy oil level in the valley of your Small Block Chevrolet. Simply screw this set of eight into place and enjoy a healthier oil level for your valvetrain.
About this lifter set
Lifters wear together with the cam lobes, which is why they are usually replaced with the cam.
