Why polyurethane bushings

Factory rubber bushings soften, crack and tear with age, which lets suspension parts move out of position under load. Whiteline makes bushings in polyurethane, which is firmer and lasts longer, so the suspension holds its alignment better in corners and under braking.

Common Whiteline bushing upgrades

  • Control arm and caster bushings, for sharper steering and more stable braking.
  • Sway bar mount bushings, to remove play so the bar works straight away.
  • Subframe and differential bushings, to reduce wheel hop and drivetrain movement.

Ride and noise

Polyurethane passes a little more road feel and noise into the car than soft rubber. Most street cars do well with bushings in the main arm and sway bar positions.

Whiteline Bushings FAQ

Are polyurethane bushings better than rubber?
They are firmer and last longer, which sharpens handling, but they pass a little more vibration into the cabin.
Do polyurethane bushings squeak?
They can if they are not greased. Use the grease supplied with the kit on fitting.
Do I need an alignment after fitting bushings?
Yes, after control arm or subframe bushings.
