Edelbrock Performer series carburetors

Edelbrock's Performer series carburetors are four-barrel carbs known for being easy to tune, with metering rods and step-up springs you can change without removing the carb. They come in several airflow sizes, usually 500 to 800 cfm.

Picking the cfm

Bigger is not always better. Too large a carburetor hurts throttle response on a mild engine. Most street small-blocks use somewhere around 600 to 750 cfm. Engine size, cam and rpm range decide the right size.

Manual or electric choke

Manual choke carbs use a cable from the dash. Electric choke carbs open the choke automatically as the engine warms.

Parts and tuning

Calibration kits let you change jets, rods and springs to suit altitude and engine changes. Studs and adapters help fit the carb to your manifold.

Edelbrock Carburetors FAQ

What size Edelbrock carb do I need?
It depends on engine size, cam and rpm. Many street small-blocks run 600 to 750 cfm.
Can I tune an Edelbrock carb without taking it off?
Yes. Metering rods and step-up springs change from the top of the carb.
Manual or electric choke?
Electric is easier day to day. Manual gives direct control and has no wiring.
